Each Raku ceramic piece from Konza Fire Creations is a one-of-a-kind expression of clay, fire, and spontaneity. Hand-formed and kiln-fired using traditional Raku and Alternative Firing techniques, these vessels bear the mark of smoke, flame, and raw elemental beauty.
Our Raku process involves pulling pieces from the red-hot kiln and placing them in contact with natural combustible materials such as sawdust or straw. The thermal shock creates unpredictable crackles, smoky patterns, and unique textures that can never be replicated—only revealed.
Earth-toned glazes, scorched metallics, and subtle carbon markings make every piece a living record of the fire that shaped it. Each item is imbued with character, warmth, and the beauty of imperfection. Wabi sabi!
